Take a look at this hand-crafted New Build on the Kapiti Coast and you'll see the Pzazz Building difference right away.

The photo above may not look like much but if you look closely you'll see the incredible amount of detail that has gone into this landing outside an upstairs bedroom – and the devil, as they say, is in the details.


This incredible new home build transformation was completed by Cory van Vlerken of Pzazz Building Kapiti Coast and Wellington North . It's his own home, so an enormous amount of love has gone into the design and construction and Cory has handcrafted much of the joinery and fittings himself – but it shows the level of skill and care that every Pzazz Building team throughout New Zealand is capable of and delivering every day.

Yes, that's brass negative detail behind the ply sheets in the ceiling in the first image shown at right. And yes, that's custom joinery self-made in ply in the bathroom at far right.

We also love the Spanish-style tiles on the bathroom floor and the careful selection of basin, tap and light fitting styles that imbue this home with real character and personality.
And now to the kitchen and dining area, where once again Cory's design flair and desire for something special, something different, has come to the fore.

As well as contructing the kitchen island himself out of ply, the panel with the incredible colours and swirls is actually an acid-treated brass sheet. Not something you see in every kitchen but one of the many beautiful touches designed to make this home stand out.
The kitchen joinery is again a Cory original and we love the dark green subway-tile splashback, totally in keeping with the character of the rest of the home.

It is said in the building industry that the hardest customer to please is yourself, but if the care and attention that has gone into this home in anything to go by, Cory must be extremely pleased.
